DivyaYatra is a research-style directory rather than a collection of user-generated claims. Each temple page carries a Sources list, and individual facts (history, festivals, administration) are linked to the source they were drawn from wherever one exists.
How external links are labelled
- Official website — the domain identified as the temple or managing body’s own site.
- Government / heritage portal — tourism boards, archaeology departments and heritage bodies.
- Directory listing — established listings or registries that are not the site itself.
- Reference — encyclopaedic or scholarly references used for history and context.
The badge next to each link states which kind it is, so the label “official” is never applied to a directory or third-party page.
Coordinates and distances
Coordinates are sourced from public geodata and appear on listings that have them. All distances on the site — nearby searches, circuit routes and the Journey Planner — are great-circle (straight-line) distances computed from those coordinates. They are approximations for planning only: road distances, terrain and travel times vary, and the site says so wherever distances are shown. Always confirm the final route with official travel sources.
Correcting the directory
Source material changes and mistakes happen. If a listing is out of date, a fact is unsupported or an official website is missing, tell us via the contact page and include the source you are relying on.
